I'm so glad my kids are still young. I know that all the technology keeps them entertained... but I dread the day they are hooked in to a phone or device and can't bother to talk to the family.
My kids love to pack activity bass for our car trips. There are tons of cool online ideas for making portable games that use magnetic checker pieces instead of electronic gizmos... I'm planning on trying out a few.
This was a great segment and very timely! We're leaving in a couple of weeks for 3 weeks in France! It will be the first trip for the 20-month-old and only the second time (3 years ago!) for the girls. I appreciated the suggestion of having the kids choose and pack their own activity bag. I had planned to do that for them, but now I'll get them involved.
