I'm so glad my kids are still young. I know that all the technology keeps them entertained... but I dread the day they are hooked in to a phone or device and can't bother to talk to the family. My kids love to pack activity bass for our car trips. There are tons of cool online ideas for making portable games that use magnetic checker pieces instead of electronic gizmos... I'm planning on trying out a few.
This was a great segment and very timely! We're leaving in a couple of weeks for 3 weeks in France! It will be the first trip for the 20-month-old and only the second time (3 years ago!) for the girls. I appreciated the suggestion of having the kids choose and pack their own activity bag. I had planned to do that for them, but now I'll get them involved. Off the topic, you are so cute!
I am so sorry it took me so long to respond! I was out of town and then sick as a dog :(THANK YOU for your sweet comments!! Jenn- you are so right about the magnetic games- love those. Let me know how they turn out- you should write a blog post about them!DG Mommy- you are the sweetest!! And what a brave little family, traveling all the way around the world- I cannot wait to hear about all your adventures!!!! Hope you are all well by the time you leave.
